In White Awake, I explore the barriers that white people tend to face – white Christians specifically – when we attempt to awaken to and understand white supremacy through a faith lens. I spend a lot of time here addressing the internal defenses that are bound to go off when this journey is taken seriously, and I chart out a path for developing a resilient spirit that steadfastly moves towards truth, justice, and equity.

In White Lies I share lessons learned from practiced leaders of color, and I provide nine practices rooted in Scripture that will position you to be an active supporter of inclusion, equality, and racial justice. Within this book I explore how to address white supremacy at both an individual and systemic level, how to talk about race in an intelligent and respectful way, and how to develop thoughtful strategies for confronting and dismantling White supremacy as well as for promoting racial justice in healthy, effective ways.
